Sedlescombe Organic Corymbus Red 2014

Lightly Oaked. 41%  Rondo, 25% Regent, 24% Dornfelder, 10% Others. Deep, dark red almost black with violet edge. Young nose of green pepper and roasted coffee. Fresh black fruit flavours reminiscent of Blackberry, Blackcurrant, Blueberries and some Black Olives. Medium to full-bodied, exquisitely balanced with a trace of smoky oak character and a dash of velvet tannin. A great red to go with those luxuriant weightier dishes, including medium cheeses, and even dark chocolate. Quite complex. International Silver Medal DECANTER World Wine Awards Medal 89 points

Sedlescombe Organic Old Vine 2015 75cl

Made exclusively from 35 year old Bacchus, Reichensteiner and Faber vines.  Dry, elegant bouquet. Weightier and more complex than many English wines, perhaps proving that old vines do indeed come up with the goods! International Silver Medal

 History

The UK's oldest organic vineyard, Sedlescombe, established in 1979, naturally has a rich heritage and is England's premier organic wine estate comprising 22 acres organically certified vineyards.

The vineyard was established from Owner and Winemaker Roy Cook's dream of self-sufficiency and continues with these conservationist principles today.

The earliest recognition of the wines came in June 1987 when Master of Wine Jancis Robinson wrote an article in the London Evening Standard describing Sedlescombe wines as, “Some of the most delicious English wines I have ever tasted.”
