Albury Estate Cuvee 2014 

Grape Variety: Pinot Noir (55%), Pinot Meunier (29%), Chardonnay (16%)

Tasting Notes
This classic cuvée has all the hallmarks of a fine sparkling wine. The subtle fruit on the nose, predominately red berries from the Pinot and a little light citrus from the Chardonnay, is backed up by a really long, mouth-filling palate that lingers and satisfies. Fresh and lively, ripe acidity is complimented by a subtle sweetness. A wine for drinking on its own or with friends!
Food Match
Ideal as an aperitif, with canapés. Serve with smoked salmon, fish and seafood, especially lobster, trout or crayfish. Also excellent with mushroom risotto, light chicken dishes and Sushi as well as local English hard cheeses.

Albury Estate is the Surrey home of the Duke of Northumberland and is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our still rosé wine was served on the Royal Barge as part of the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Albury Estate sparkling wines have won international wine awards are currently featured on the wine lists of several Michelin starred establishments including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, Tom Kerridge’s The Hand and Flowers, The Black Swan at Oldstead and Chez Bruce in Wandsworth. Albury Vineyard was voted Producer of the Year in the 2016 Surrey Life Food & Drink Awards.

Hebridean Beechwood Smoked Salmon 

A new smoked salmon from Hebridean that is prepared with wood smoke and a hint of peat as an alternative to their 100% Peat Smoked Salmon.

The starting point for this lovely product is the finest quality Altlantic salmon grown for Hebridean in the cool clean waters that surround their island home. In common with the Peat Smoked Salmon, complicated or novelty flavourings have been avoided and the fish is simply smoked with wood chippings from beech and the subtlest addition of local cut peat.

The result is a rich smoked salmon with a hint of sweetness that is best enjoyed on its own or with traditional accompaniments used sparingly - an equal mix of creamy horseradish and crème frâiche is excellent.

Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton Ceramic Jar

This cheese is certified by the Soil Association – a guarantee that it meets their exacting organic standards. The Organic Stilton has a delicious mellow flavour, which contrasts with the tanginess of its delicate blue veins. This cheese is ripened for up to 12 weeks.

We’re not the only ones who think that this Organic Blue Stilton is the best of its kind. It was named Supreme Champion at the 2003 British Cheese Awards and Best in Show at the inaugural Organic Cheese Showcase in 2014.

Enjoy our Organic Blue Stilton on its own, or paired with pudding wine, port, dry sherry, claret, walnuts or honey and pears.
